The design of the home reflects a deep commitment to sustainability, thoughtfully engineered to maintain a comfortable climate year-round without the need for artificial cooling. Through an elegant cross-ventilation scheme and a sophisticated hyper-insulation wall and roof system, the residence gracefully harmonizes modern comfort with environmental consciousness. However, portable AC units are available at request.

The house has a fully equipped kitchen, including gas burners and a Bimby (thermomix kitchen machine), for fun culinary meals spent savouring local flavours with family and friends. Nespresso machine, and a juicer (for fresh oranges at breakfast, in season delivered by our gardener) are convenient additions, including a dedicated fridge for wine and beer for balmy nights.

The cupboards are fully stocked with ceramic tableware, cutlery, serving dishes, and premium cooking utensils, alongside essentials like local olive oil, salt and pepper.

In the suites, guests will find both European plugs and hairdryers provided in each room, ensuring ample amenities for everyone to get ready without having to wait. For evenings spent relaxing indoors, a TV equipped with Netflix and HBO is available in the library. The house also has portable speakers for listening and sharing your favourite playlists. High-speed Wi-Fi is also provided throughout the house for those who may need to work remotely or simply wish to stay connected.

While staying at CASA DA MATRIZ, it is recommended that you rent a car to explore the surrounding area. A car allows you to delve deeper into the expansive environment, discover hidden countryside roads, and gain exclusive access to the rice paddies of Alcacer and Comporta—an experience of natural beauty that should not be missed.
